What?
In the fall of 2002 Crown began strategizing about how we could service the great need for stewardship training around the world, using the existing model of short-term missions. After much thought the first Crown short-term missions' teams were sent out in July 2003. Originally just planned for college students, God began to open Crown's eyes to much broader applications. Since then, Crown has tweaked and improved upon the model to make it what it is today. Highly trained qualified Crown teams are sent around the world to help launch and improve existing programs, and many more churches and missions agencies send their own teams out to conduct trainings for their leaders. This "open market" approach has allowed Crown to partner well beyond itself to bless many believers all over the world. We continue to look forward to many more years of service to the King and the Kingdom.

Why?
Crown Financial Ministries has a goal of teaching 300 million people by September 15, 2015 with God’s financial principles. We have the materials and resources to teach these to pastors, business and professional people, stewardship leaders, and the like. However, we know it will take other ministries, churches, para-church organizations, and businesses to help us reach these people with these wonderful foundational tools. We want to train those who have similar passions to teach international people, and then give them the resources to distribute and equip others they have relationships with overseas. It truly is a win-win-win situation- for Crown, for the Crown ignite! attendees, and those that they teach!

Who?
Matt Elsberry, International Program Director for Leadership Development

FelixMatt joined Crown in 2001 to serve a one-year internship with President Dave Rae. Thinking that he would return to his home in Colorado after the year, the Holy Spirit changed his direction and asked him to help others think in terms of sustainability and learn to become more intimate with Christ through the way they handle money. This, along with seeing the global church unified and actively involved in action-based accountability, are his passions in life. He has traveled to more than 50 countries helping to establish, support and encourage Crown’s global efforts. He currently resides in Flowery Branch, GA and is actively involved at 12Stone Church where he serves through the compassion, small group, and college-aged ministries. He currently serves on the boards of Service to Servants (a ministry focused on the nation of Liberia) and Cause ‘n’ Affect Network.

Anna Rosado, Leadership Development Coordinator

FelixAnna Rosado was born in Georgia, yet grew up on the lovely island of Hawaii, in the town of Hilo. In 2001, her family moved to Virginia while she attended Toccoa Falls College (Georgia). She graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration, concentration in Management. The summer following graduation she went with an incredible team to support a Crown Catalytic Event in India. She had an amazing time and it affected her personally in many ways! Upon her return, she was offered a position as an intern in the Global Field. Seeing how people are being impacted by God’s financial principles really pressed upon her heart to become involved with Crown and its international work that she remained on staff. Faithful stewardship is such an important issue around the world and these biblical financial principles have a huge impact on people’s lives. For Anna, being involved in this aspect of the ministry excites her greatly because of her love of other cultures and the interaction and fellowship of many people from various nations. Her passions align perfectly with Crown’s mission and she is extremely thrilled to be a part of the global team in enabling others to teach His principles around the world! She currently lives in Flowery Branch, Georgia with her husband Edwin and attends The Light Alliance Church.
